Lars van Galen

Lars van Galen was born in Enschede and during his Sterklas course (an initiative of the Guild of Dutch Master Chefs) worked at various prominent restaurants such as Restaurant Onder de Boompjes and Château Neercanne in Maastricht. After completing his Sterklas, he joined Restaurant Château Neercanne as chef de parti, where he worked for five years at sous-chef level.

In 2007 it was time to make the step to a position as Chef de Cuisine at De Bloemenbeek in De Lutte. In this position Lars was given the opportunity to determine policy in the kitchen and develop his own style of cooking. Here too he strived for the highest attainable standard, not only in culinary terms but also in terms of organisation, training, staff policy and commerce. On 1 March 2012, he will take over Tuindorphotel & Restaurant 't Lansink.
